Bruce Silcox photographs the elegance and beauty in the every day, as well as the magnificent moments of events. He strives to creates engaging, vivid images that sparkle and reveal the connections between people and the world. Strong composition, a knack for putting people at ease and a taste for the ironic infuse his work. With a natural empathy and warmth toward his subjects, he uses both his experience in journalism and his fine arts background to create compelling images.

Bruce began photographing in the early 1980s for local newspapers and music zines while in high school. He furthered his studies and experience at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he received his BFA in 1988. Working as a printer/photographer and general vagabond in several locations in the states, he moved to Minneapolis ten years ago and started his home based studio .

Bruce works with a varied client list including local media, public relations professionals, nonprofits, artists and individuals. He has exhibited continuously since moving to the Twin Cities and his work has appeared in local and national newspapers and been featured in several books. In addition, he enjoys photographing unique weddings, events and people.
